Picture books are FUN!

Artadia, the fund for Art and Dialogue announces it’s first national publication “5 Cities/41 Artists/Artadia 08-09“. This inaugural publication from Artadia surveys two years of Artadia awardees from cities like San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Atlanta and Chicago.

Edited by Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) head curator, Franklin Sirmans, 41 Artists… Also features essays from top curators in the 5 cities highlighted. Contributors include; Andrea Barnwell Brownlee (Spelman College Museum of Art, Atlanta), Stephanie Smith (Smart Museum of Art, Chicago), Michelle White (The Menil Collection, Houston) and Rene de Guzman (Oakland Museum of Art, Oakland).

But I know how you like your picture books, so don’t worry , there are more than 140 full color pages of art from Artadia winners, including yours truly (Class of 2009′ Thank you. Thank you). Other artists included in the publication:
